This winter James Beard Award-winning Chef Christopher Kostow and Restaurant Director Nathaniel Dorn invites 11 of the brightest chefs from around the world to their luxury resort in Napa Valley.

The Restaurant at Meadowood and Chef Christopher Kostow – 2013 James Beard Award Winner for Best Chef: West – celebrate The Twelve Days of Christmas® for the eight season at Meadowood Napa Valley with Parisian shooting star Atsushi Tanaka of the critically acclaimed Restaurant A.T. in Paris on Thursday, December 17th.
From December 4-19, The Restaurant will host the eight annual dining series.
Over the past seven years the Twelve Days of Christmas has raised approximately $400,000. The first five years of the event benefitted Share Our Strength and beginning in 2013 we wanted to focus on two local charities, The Holly Cranston Foundation and the Napa Emergency Women’s Services.
“Being a parent and being around the holidays, I can’t think of anything more special than being able to raise moeny for charity,” Nathaniel Dorn elaborates.
Kostow adds, “This event has always been an opportunity for us to give back; to promote the ethos of our Restaurant and community, and to create an opportunity for prolonged cross pollination and enduring friendships.”
Kostow works closely with the invited guest chefs throughout the year to explore their unique flavors, inspirations and cultures giving each night of the series a distinctive fingerprint. Each night’s menu will be accompanied by wines from the Napa Valley and not an individual vintner as in years past.

One of these guest chefs is the culinary enigma Atsushi Tanaka – the talent and owner of Parisian Restaurant A.T.
Located in Paris’s Latin Quarter, A.T. is only a little more than 18 months old, yet it continues to exceed the expectations and progresses in every way possible. Perhaps not surprisingly, it has already been noted as ‘One of the 12 Coolest Places to Eat in 2015‘ by Forbes Magazine. Atsushi Tanaka is also renowned for being a world traveller, being a guest chef in accoladed restaurants in New York, Copenhagen, Tokyo and more.
His impressive resume includes Pierre Gagnaire in Paris, Quique Dacosta of Alicante, Pastorale, Antwerpen and Sergio Herman, Sluis, – top-Scandinavian restaurants such as Geranium in Copenhagen, and Frantzén and Oaxen Krog, both of the Swedish capital, Stockholm.
