GERANIUM ANNOUNCED AS RESTAURANT OF THE YEAR IN DENMARK

RESTAURANT OF THE YEAR

———————————————–

Sunday night in Copenhagen, Restaurant Geranium was awarded “Restaurant of the Year” in Denmark by The Danish Dining Guide out of a strong group of competitors: Noma, Kadeau, Dragsholm Slot, Koks (Faroe Islands) and Mielcke & Hurtigkarl.

Rasmus Kofoed states: “We are very happy to receive this award… it motivates our staff and further enhances their belief in what we do”, adding: “Geranium has rather quickly built an international reputation and we are pleased this now goes in alliance with the belief of this jury of our home country.”

Besides being home of Bocuse d’Or Gold Legend Rasmus Kofoed, Restaurant Geranium received its second Michelin star within only two years, in 2013, as well as both years being recognised on The World’s 50 Best Restaurants list.

In addition to the main price, Geranium Sommelier and partner Søren Ledet was accoladed as “Restaurant Manager of The Year”, only three years after he changed career from being a top chef to sommelier, and on this path, won Coupe Georges Baptiste – also known as the Euro Cup for professional waiters.
