TWO NEW NORDIC STAR CHEFS ENTERS WACHAU GOURMET FESTIVAL
The Wachau region of Austria has a long tradition of indulgence with restaurateurs and winemakers of international renown. This fact will be honoured by an extraordinary series of special culinary events at The Wachau Gourmet Festival.
Between April 12th and April 23th. 2012, the hosting partners in Wachau awaits you with everything of distinction in the world of indulgence. With exclusive multi-course dinners, cookery shows, table talks with celebrities and exquisite wine tastings, the restaurateurs and winemakers will once again show that Wachau is one of the top culinary regions on an international scale.
The program of the Wachau Gourmet Festival is enhanced by appearances from internationally renowned top chefs. Chefs from various Relais & Chateaux destinations of the world will create top dinners in the Wachau region.
Bon Vivant Communications is in 2012 represented by the two Nordic Star Chefs Mads Refslund of ACME in New York City and Ronny Emborg of AOC in Copenhagen. Furthermore by the highly renowned Nordic Champion Sommelier Christian Aarø Mortensen – also of AOC, to pick out and pair the world-acclaimed Wachau Wines with the New Nordic Cuisine.
The two Star Chefs performs a Galla Evening together, creating an 8-coursed New Nordic de luxe Dinner of entirely new flavour combinations at LATE Stein Brasserie, Thursday April 12th. – followed by Mads Refslund’s festival highlight dinner at Relais & Châteaux Schloss Dürnstein, Friday 13th., that will be accompanied by sensational wines from and with Franz Hirtzberger. Chef Refslund also thrilled with his light, creative and innovative cuisine at the festival last year.
The Nordic Experience ends Monday, April 16th. at LATE Stein Brasserie, where Ronny Emborg takes you on a young wizards journey with his unconventional way of staging molecular, new Nordic and nouvelle cuisine in one, characterised as the “Sensory Kitchen” that also quickly earned him the Michelin Guide’s accolade of one star within only one year.
