THE MENU

Thursday, November 28th.

Chapter 1 – The Young Master

—————————————

Gastronomy is the fundamental axis of the ABaC project.

The restaurant has been awarded 2 Michelin stars and run by Chef Jordi Cruz, who earned his first star at the tender age of 24, becoming the youngest chef in Spain and the second youngest in the world to have been awarded this accolade.

The strong promise he represents within the panorama of Spanish Cuisine was clearly recognised from that moment on.

This evening, featuring Jordi Cruz and the impeccable staff of Restaurant ABaC at the stylish boutique luxury hotel of same name, it will be offering champagne, The Grand ABaC Menu, a connoisseur wine menu, mineral water, gourmet coffee/tea, delicious petit fours and avecs in the beautiful Salon Privée.

Restaurant ABaC has been awarded “Best Restaurant of Catalonia”. One of those rare gems, totally on top of its game, must be experienced before a single thing changes.

—————————————

After The Grand ABaC, the party enters the Golden Quarter and lively lobby night club at Barcelona Luxury Hotel Omm, the private lounges, seducing cocktails and sets by the best current DJs.

Dress code: Classy laissez faire.

Chapter 2 – The World’s No. 1

—————————————

The passion for cooking and hospitality shared by the three Roca brothers is palpable, but the food is playful rather than serious (caramelised olives are brought to the table on bonsai trees) and Catalan ingredients are given centre-stage billing on the menu.

Superior techniques complement simple flavour combinations designed to titillate the palate and the memory rather than confuse the mind. It’s very clever stuff – but thankfully it is also utterly delicious.

El Celler de Can Roca holds three stars in Guide Michelin and is voted the “World’s Best Restaurant” 2013 by the San Pellegrino World’s 50 Best Restaurants list. The same day the restaurant was named No. 1, its website had 12 million hits.

Reservation Impossible.

Featuring the stylish, laid back and world renowned staff of El Celler de Can Roca at this international highly acclaimed restaurant – offering Champagne, a grande feast menu, an exploration wine menu, mineral water, gourmet coffee/tea, delicious petit fours and avecs in a semi-private dining room – still having the ambiance of the restaurant.

Furthermore, as a cherry on the top, a private guided tour of the kitchen and “battle station” of the restaurant plus a tour of the large wine cellar with some 60000 bottles.

—————————————

Transport to and from El Celler de Can Roca in Girona – 100 kilometers north of Barcelona – will be in stretch limousines, bubbles included after joining a Champagne reception in the dazzling rooms of Café Vienés at the iconic Casa Fuster.

Dress code: Formal elegance.

Chapter 3 – The Wizards

—————————————

Starting out with a suitable tipsiness, acquired at a late afternoon cocktail party at Banker’s Bar at The Mandarin Oriental – we enter our final dining destination.

41° Experience draws a crowd of curious locals and international diners to the resurgent theater neighborhood of Poble Sec. Featuring a sophisticated velvety interior, diamond-encrusted wall art and jazzy background music, this meant-to-be-cocktail-bar quickly became the ultra-coveted dinner seats of Spain.

41° Experience is named for the parallel of latitude on which Barcelona lies, – and the diamond of the Adrià-brothers’ many new ventures.  But where Ferran Adrià previosly took the stage at elBulli, Albert Adrià has now entered the scene in the most mind-blowing way thinkable.

41° Experience is another planet.

Press play and experience the wizardy.

—————————————

This evening we’ll be an acting part of this stage, having 41° exclusively and experiencing 41 servings with each 12 flavor components – elBulli classics as well as new wizardry combinations conceived by a mastermind.

All paired with a full-blown drinks menu equally as arousing as the menu.

Talk to chefs and restaurant people around the world and they know Albert Adrià not just as the little brother of the most important chef of the past 20 years, but as the brain behind Ferran’s empire, the wizard who helped establish the terms of avant-garde cuisine, and the man as responsible as any other for turning elBulli into the most influential restaurant of the modern cooking era.

Start asking around about Albert and chefs will stand in line to tell you about his brilliance. The first in line will be Ferran himself. “He is without a doubt the most complete cook working in the world today.”

Dress code: It’s all about the attitude.

—————————————

Famous by day, notorious by night.

After the finalé dinner, we’ll end up in the Barceloneta district and rise up to the 26th floor to W Hotel’s ultra-exclusive Eclipse, where the freshest cocktails are complemented by world-class DJs spinning soulful sounds, delicious beats & live performances, inspired by its stunning Mediterranean setting and inherently London personality.

Flirty with a touch of whimsy, Eclipse has changed the face of Barcelona’s nightlife and establish itself as the city’s ultimate entertainment lifestyle destination for local tastemakers and global jetsetters alike.

The Dinner Party have private tables by the dancefloor, overlooking Barcelona and its beaches – awaited by bottles of Champagne Ruinart Rosé, ending up 72 remarkable hours in style.

Famous by day, notorious by night.
